General information
CURRENT COSTS:
The costs are £1,354 per head (funded athletes and officials), £1,890 (non funded athletes), £1,889 (non funded officials).
FLIGHTS:
The GB team will be using Emirates Airlines and the booking is being co-ordinated by Dave Freeman of SportsWorld travel. He has agreed to co-ordinate travel bookings for family and friends. SportsWorld travel will also arrange Visas for the GB team.
PRE-GAMES SUMMER CAMP:
This will be held on 3 & 4 September 04. Arrive on Saturday morning and leave at Sunday lunchtime. Accommodation will be arranged for Friday night for those who require it.
This will be primarily a team building exercise rather than a training weekend. Presentations will be made on nutrition, acclimatisation, and drug testing. There will be 4 hours allocated for light training. Manchester or Stoke Mandeville are the two possible venues being considered.
AUDIOGRAMS:
It has been mentioned that there is a need to remind people to complete their audiograms.
DRUGS:
Anyone having concerns regarding allowable drugs, should refer to the [ UK Sport ] website. A medical declaration may be needed for all team members, along the lines of the form used for the Paralympic team.
CHAPERONE:
We will only look after athletes who are under 18 years of age. They will not be responsible for looking after anyone else e.g., children. Etc
