No less than 80 countries will participate in the competition in Samsun this year, including Great Britain. Actually, DeaflympicsGB has already announced their squads for the majority of the categories in which they will compete, including tennis, athletics, football, golf, and more.

As mentioned on the UK Deaf Sports website, all the sports had to follow stringent qualifying criteria in preparation for Deaflympics, and the Chef de Mission along with the Team managers of each sport have worked together to agree on outcomes and targets prior to selection, based on both performance and preparation. So rest assured, Great Britain will be well-represented at this year’s edition of the event.
