DUKA Athletes making news headlines!
Getting into the GB team is not an easy task! Selection is very strict and all those picked are expected to perform to the best of their abilities with the aim of winning medals in the championships for which they have been picked.
One of the positive things about representing GB is that you get the opportunities for publicity. Many local and even national newspaper become interested in the athlete, their background, barriers that they have faced in their fight to get picked and future dreams.
Here, 2 of DUKA’s sprinters are making news headlines in their regions. John Ruddy from Scotland and Jason Steadman from South Shields are heading their respective newspapers sport pages. Read more about them here
